Could anybody please help I am looking for any information on My GGG Grand father George Ashton  and his parents I believe George was born in Kirtlington Oxfordshire in c1791 thank you in anticipation.

Afraid I haven't got the parish records for Kirtlington but the following may be of interest to you:

from the OFHS Oxfordshire Parish Marriage Index 1538-1837

18 Oct 1788 James ASHTON married Lydia WEIGHT in Kirtlington

possible parents of George

thank you for your help, i think i gave you some duff gen though George was Born in Cassington not Kirtlington sorry about that but itsnot very far so I think you could be right about Gerores Parents and James is a family Name that has gone down the generations.
I am one of them ! for my sins. i much appreciate  your help if there is any further info you can lay your hands on I will be very Glad of it.

had a look on the 1841 census for Kirtlington and found:

Lydia ASHTON  80  ag lab    Y (born in county)

no one else in household.
