Hi,
I was wondering if someone could help me find a John Forse/Force in the 1841 census. He was born in Cattistock in about 1774 and in 1851 was living in Rampisham, Dorset with his son William who was born in Devon c1815.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found this Christening in Cattistock, but maybe you already have it? This couple had other children if you need them.
John Forse Christened 22 October 1775
Parents were William Forse and Elizabeth

Hi Dave & Frances,
Thanks for the prompt responses! 
Dave - That sounds like my John Forse. His occupation was cordwainer in 1851, which fits in with shoemaker in 1841.
Frances - Yes, I'm definitely interested in Forses/Forces christened in Cattistock, and I don't have any information on them at the moment. I'm particularly interested in a Robert Forse who was born around 1776.

Robert 30 October 1772
William 6 July 1777
Mary 25 December 1779
Sarah 22 May 1784
Henry 9 October 1785
Elizabeth 7 December 1788

Thanks very much for that! I think you've managed to take that branch of the family back an extra generation. 
On the Cattistock OPC site I've found a wedding for a William Forse to an Elizabeth Mayo on the 19 January 1772. Would it be asking too much of you to look up their baptisms as well?
My Robert Forse moved to Walcot, Somerset around 1800, and I've found a William Forse who was buried in Walcot in 1815 aged 70, which would mean he was born around 1745, and I've been wondering if he was Robert's father. I guess Elizabeth Mayo would have been born roughly the same time.

Hi Jane,
There was a William Forse Christened in Cattistock 11 April 1741 with a sister Ann Christened 3 October 1742. Parents were Robert Forse and Mary.
I found this marriage but not in Cattistock.
Robert Forse married Mary Kerslake 2 June 1740 Poorstock.
I will see what I can find on Elizabeth.

Hi Jane,
No one by the name of Elizabeth Mayo listed in Chattistock, these are the only two I have found at present in Dorset around that time.
Elizabeth Mayo Christened 12 January 1740 Mosterton
Father John Mayo (no mothers name)
Elizabeth Mayo Christened 30 July 1749 Froome-St. Quintin Dorset
Parents John Mayo and Jean
I will leave it to you to work this one out

I had a look on the Powerstock/Poorstock OPC site and found baptisms for more children for Robert & Mary Forse/Foss/Voss.
