Marriage for Thomas Brown born 1821 Roxburgshire
« on: Sunday 16 April 06 18:05 UTC (UK) »

Would anyone be able to find the birth or marriage details of Thomas Brown born about 1821  Anburn Roxburghshire. I have him on 1851 census married to a Mary born about 1815 Hartley Northumberland their eldest child born 1835 so maybe the marriage would be around this time I would think Northumberland. I will also post Northumberland, but we may be able to find his birth and hopefully his parents. Many thanks Terri  Smiley

Looking at 1851 Census, Thomas may be 39-he'd be a bit young to have 16 year old kids if he was just 30! There is a baptsim on 03/11/1811 at Oxnam of a thomas Brown, father John Brown.. may be your man!

Just had another look at the census myself and I think you are right it certainly looks like he is 39 and not born as they say 1821 So John Brown born 1811 certainly looks like my man! Well done and thank you!!  Smiley Cheesy Grin Shocked
