Three Brothers Knight out on the road...almost!
|
Hi Anna - I just did a search on McBride to see who else was posting and found this...You don't say where your McBride family comes from so probably no link but you never know do you?
I have McBrides in Manchester back to 1851 - with a possible 1841 but I can't be sure it's the same family. The father James McBride appears on his son Henry's marriage certificate (in Manchester) and it says he is a Shoemaker. Henry was born in Ballybay, Monoghan, Ireland in about 1829-1831 and was a joiner. There is a possible James McBride who joined the Royal Regt of Artillery in about 1810 but I don't know if he is MY James or not - He gives his birth as Dungiven, Ireland.
Anyway - thought I'd say hello and let you know....
