Help needed - Roberts birth/death Stalybridge area

Hi

I'm hoping some kind soul may be able to help me.

I am trying to trace a Bertha Roberts - who according to her death certificate was born in Stalybridge 25th March 1906.  I have been unable to find her birth certificate or information relating to her father.

Bertha's marriage certificate says that in 1925 his name was Benjamin and he was deceased, occupation Engine driver.  I know that Bertha moved to Nottingham in about 1910 as a result of her father's death.  Therefore information is very much hearsay.

So far I am having no luck what so ever.  I have tried the Thameside Register office and they have no information for a Bertha Roberts born then with a father called Benjamin!

Please can someone help!
