Hi Ian...

Not 1841 but 1851 has a butcher called Lewin in Beaconsfield.

WILLIAM LEWIN hd m 54 butcher/beerhouse keeper Penn
Jane     Lewin      wi m 50 butchers wife   Beaconsfield
James Hopkins  sl 23 lab                High Wycombe.
  HO107/1717 F 636 P14
Interesting he gives birthplace as Penn as well.
If this is right for parents?  could have been William John ??
Then Jane Lewin d 1878 Amersham 4th qtr.
    William Lewin d 1876 Amersham 1st qtr.

Not sure it will help but might give some more clues.

Thank you Tazzie
I must admit i did think about names that had something John Lewin.
It is something to go on.

If anyone can look up baptism for David Leiwn around 1830 i think would prove it, but at least we have found a Lewin in the right area and around the right age.

Still would be handy to this William Lewin in the 1841

HI Again Ian

Here is the other marriage.

I did look at Beaconsfield and Penn for any Baptisms for all of them to no avail.
Couldn't see a Burial at Penn for John (maybe non-conformists also so not in Parish Records)

Penn P.C. Pg 61 No 122 June 6th 1854
Thomas Martin 20 Bachelor Bricklayer Harrow father William Butcher to
Elizabeth Lewin 20 Spinster Penn father John Hurdle Maker
Both sign their marks.
Witnesses Joseph Martin and Phoebe Martin
