Lookups Reigate Surrey marriages before 1837

Could anyone please do a lookup for the marriage of my gg grandfather He was JOSEPH JARMAIN a LICENSED VICTUALLER who married JANE? who according to the census came from Reigate The marriage would be around1818-22 .I think the first 2 childen would be SARAH JANE JARMAIN and JAMES JARMAIN.

Hi Josie,
The only one I could find was Joshua Jarmain married Jane Cook 29/12/1804 at St. John the Baptist, Croydon.  This from the Surrey Marriage Index.

Thanks Jane maybe Joseph's brother. Do you think they would have married in the brides parish?Someone sent me the 1841 census of Joseph living in Finsbury St Luke and it said born in that county should  be looking there for a marriage. Josie

Hi Josie,
It's very likely that they married in the brides parish.  The Surrey Marriage Index only had about 2/3 entries for JARMAIN so not much of a Surrey name.  I had a look on the Pallots Marriage Index (1780-1837) on Ancestry but nothing there.  I did notice that the marriages in the name of Jarmain were mostly in Middlesex/London.  eg. Jos Jarmain married Elizabeth Lucas 1821 Spitalfields.  Another Jarmain marriage 1831 Bethnla Green & another 1811, Hackney.
