Hi Marcie,
Death certificates don't give mother's maiden name - only birth ones.
You will get the informant - who could be anyone - although usually a close relative.
If you apply to the local office (not sure which one for Colney) - with the above details they should be able to find the birth certificate for you - more helpful than GRO - who need numbers only!!

Hi Marcie Had a look in parish records for London Colney, found the baptism and burial of Henry Anthony, but no sign of mother's maiden name I also looked for the parents marriage between 1838-1848 but no sign of that either (well not in London Colney anyway!)
