? WHO WAS BORN 1839 ORTON WESTMORLAND

SHE WAS MARRIED TO DAVID MILNER 1841-1877 WHO WAS BORN IN CALVERLEY CUM FARSLEY (LEEDS)

IN 1881 HANNAH WAS A WIDOW AND LIVED AT LEEDS ROAD. CALVERLEY CUM FARSLEY

CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE

Hi Milner

No trace of Hannah or David on the 1871 census anywhere, yet alone in Westmorland.
There is a marriage record for David Milner in freeBMD, Pocklington (East Yorks), June 1869 but it doesn't reveal the spouse.

I have now found Hannah

her name was Hannah Tyson born Orton Westmorland 1859

There are a couple of Hannah Tysons and an Annie Tyson, all born Bootle, Cumbria showing on the 1871 census - do you want their details? (Not sure where Bootle is in relation to Orton).

I have found a Hannah Tyson of the same age and born in Orton westmorland in the 1881 census
she is listed as a nurse working at the rectory in Dufton Westmorland

I dont think Bootle is near Orton

First of all her place of birth in 1881 is quite clearly NORTON in Westmorland which is a bit confusing. She has son with her (and others) called John E who is 17 and a blacksmith born Witnell Lancs.
That being so I think this might be the family in 1871.

Hannah 28 House Duties b Horton Westmorland
John Edward 7 b Withnall
Martha 2 b Blackpool

It looks like the same family but with some questions

by the way the 1881 listing i quoted in Dufton cant be right because I already have Hannah in Calverley in1881.

FreeBMD has a birth for John Tyson Harrison registered in Sedbergh in the Jul-Sep quarter of 1864 ref 9a 5 so that would fit quite well with his age in 1881.
I am sure the Dent area will come under Sedbergh. All BMDs are free to search on www.ancestry.co.uk at the moment. Choose the Beta option for full coverage.

I dont think we have the same family
my Hannah Tyson born 1839 orton was married in 1862 to David Milner born 1841 Blackrod
her father was called Edward

maybe somewhere along the line they could be related
