Bakewell/ Longstone area

One of those too familiar brick-walls..............

I have a Betsey Archer in 1881,1871 widowed with daughter living in Manchester, birth place varies ( Manchester and Bakewell) BUT, on 1861 when she is with her husband Joseph, son John and my relative (daughter) Fanny, she states she is from  Longstone Derbys.

Can anyone help to trace her birth, family etc, or is anyone researching the Thornhills from Longstone as I believe that it was her maiden name as John, her son on 1861 was shown as Robert John Thornhill aged 6 born Sheffield and  son in law to head of household ie Joseph.

Also one of Fanny's sons had the middle name of Thornhill.

As yet I haven't found my Fanny Archer's birth which I guess would be c1858, I have her marriage cert dated 1878 aged 22, but she states  22 on 1881.......these women and their age !!!!!!!
