Very good point, Paula Too .... and LOL !! As 2 of my most frustrating walls are located there -- with 2 marriages not to be found anywhere !! But alas, not from lack of record keeping, I think .... but from lack of a "disaster recovery plans" (in the mid-1800's !) which plagues us all at one time or another
Happy Christmas

Sounds very intriguing, Paula Too!! Any theories or speculations??
My gaps are from a fire which burned portions of the PR's (I think) -- nothing interesting or nefarious

Well, who can say, Lissa, but it looks mighty suspicious, coming around about that time..... If you have people in North Marston, sooner or later they are going to disappear down one of these black holes. It's not too bad if there is only one family, of that name... 'Oh, he has got to be the son of that couple, even though I can't find his birth, because they are the only couple of that name having children...' that sort of thing.... But when there are several of the same name.... Bucks Genealogy have quite a good site, and joining them for a year is something I would recommend to anyone.

l am still at a loss on how my ancestor came to be on Heather's site. l could not find the link. Plenty of info from the wife's maiden name but not about the chap that married her which is the line l am from. There are just so many name it seems impossible for me to sort through it.

I was disconcerted to find my tree had been incorporated in this vast network without my permission. I am an only child and to find personal details about both my now deceased parents was quite a shock. It is possible she obtained it from someone with whom I had shared info, but this has taught me a lesson. I will still give copies of certs etc to anyone who can prove close family relationship, but the rest is now private.
