I have checked the 1841 census for Newsham and sandhutton but no John Parvin maybe he was in another village However I found this Sandhutton 107/1238/3 26 8 Hannah Pavin 64 born in county Mathew age 27 Shoe Maker born in county These where the only two in these villages If you would like me to check anothe village just let me know

John PARVIN, 59, Head, Ag Lab, Newsham Elizabeth PARVIN, Wife, 57, Thirsk Esther PARVIN, 17, Daur, Sandhutton
Living at Wesleyan Chapel Cottage, Sandhutton
RG10/4833, Thirsk, ED 6, Folio 128, Page 20
The only two near-age Thomas' are
Thomas PARVIN aged 29, shown married, living in Middlesborough with a place of birth as Shildon, County Durham.
and
Thomas PARVIN aged 31, Blacksmith, b Yorks Kirbywood (appears on 1881 census as Kirby Knowle)

Sorry - I'm afraid I don't have Yorkshire or Durham in 1901 - I'm still waiting for it to be made available on the particular pack I subscribe to. A bit frustrating as most of my family lines are there or thereabouts.
