There were several pits on the Himley estate's land and an intricate network of plateways and later on, railways to handle their production. You might find this site interesting http://www.lostlabours.co.uk/agenoria/home.htm

What are you looking for in particular?

Best regards

Thankyou Paul for that link, I found it very interesting. I'm looking to find info about Himley No 2 mine, as my ancestors were cowners of this mine in the 1880's up until 1902/8 when the mine was abandoned.  Once again thankyou  Smiley

Gosh Paul, Thankyou, I didn't even think about the National Archives, and didn't realise that Dudley would have them, will take a trip over there....my brain goes dead sometimes, and it didn't even cross my mind to look at Dudley Library. Once again thankyou  Smiley
