Hi there,  Would appreciate a lookup on the English 1901 census.  John Elliot brn.1880, Gateshead Durham.  parents names David Elliot brn.1842/3 Hawick Rox. and Elizabeth Brown brn 1845 Nottingham.  Looking forward to hearing from you.   Cheers,  Trish

looks like 24 Bayd Road next to Cumberland Street Wallsend Northumberland

David Elliott 57 builder employer b Scotland
Elizabeth 55 wife b Nottingham

No John with them

Hi Isobel . Thanks for been so quick. John would have been 21yrs at the time so it seems he may have moved on.  So the puzzle is where was he ?  Would  just using his name work.  John Elliot brn 1880 Gateshead Durham.  What do you think?  otherwise I'm stumped.   Cheers,  Trish

I tried that ,there are too many  and then the different spellings of Elliot doesnt help.He could also have given different birthplace
