Janet DICKINSON was born c 1870 in the Pilling area, her father was a seafarer. She and her brother where orphaned and put into care, in fact she worked in a pub washing glasses at the age of twelve. She ran away to Liverpool and in 1896 she married Thomas CONLEY.
Do you have any information regarding her family in Pilling, if so please contact me.
