Can someone please find me a William BURGESS b about 1846ish?? (very rough) St Ives. in the 1871 census.
I've got a theory wife might be Selina (found death for her same time as William's son Walter was born) all fits in with 1881 census and marriage for William to Selina Gaunt) if that's the case??? fingers crossed!
Looking for Elizabeth BURGESS b about 1848 St Ives too but suppose she could have been married by then??
RG10/1531 folio 48 page 18 (transcribed as Burges)
William Burgess age 25 born St Ives ; Fruiterer (like his dad!) & wife Selina Burgess age 24 born Godmanchester
cheers John

there's an Elizabeth Burgess marriage Index for Oct/Dec 1868 in St Ives vol 3b page 637. Male names are George James Meadows & William Papworth.
Cannot find as yet an Elizabeth Papworth or Elizabeth Meadows that fits !!

Thanks again I'll get back to you when I've got more questions! That's fab. No doubt will be posting for some of them in other census to find out more.
