I have just received a death cert for Florine Annie Fairy from 1926. She died in the Croydon area but the cert says she was "of Boot Inn Stanford Dingley near Reading."
Can anyone tell me whether Boot Inn is still standing or any other wee gem about the area?
The cert indicates her husband John Fairy was a licensed vitualler.
Absolutely any scrap will be seized upon with glee Down Under.

Yes it still exists. It is in Berkshire not Surrey.
If you Google - "Old Boot Inn" Berkshire - you will find numerous references to it. I didn't lookat all of them and so didn't get as far as what youcan find out.
