Hi all I have been trying to find out more about my great grandfather ALBERT VICTOR WARD and although he lived in Leicester he joined the Northamptonshire Regiment. He was posted to India Oct 1892 - Jan 1898 and I have found 4 photos of the 1st battalion in Secunderabad, all the photographs have surnames on only and I wondered if anyone had delved into the regiment for this time period and had found out about the men on the photos or if anyone wanted a copy if they knew a relative was on them. The one person I could ask wasn't sure if it was my Albert on these photos so if you are interested or could help me I have
x2 "G" Half Company " B" Half Company The Band
Many thanks Elaine

Hi, My g grandfather Albert Edward Bailey was in the band of this regiment, and he also served in India. I am wondering if his name is included on any of the photos? Probably the Band one? Kindest regards Annie

Hi
My other half and his family are all ex-Northamptonshires going back years. He's working on a history of the regiment plus we are involved in a couple of Living History Groups representing the memory of the Regiment. We'd ABSOLUTELY LOVE to see these photos if that would be possible. We don't think any of the family were in India at that time so they probably are not in any of the photos you have ..name of BANDY) but for general info they would be great.
He loves researching the Northamptonshires so I've asked him to look in all his books to see if there is any specific info on the 1st Bn in India at that time...I'll let you know if he finds anything.
