George Clark GREEN; Vicar of Modbury
« on: Sunday 30 April 06 19:05 BST (UK) »

Hi all,

I'm looking for details of reverend George Clark Green who was Vicar of Modbury, S Devon in 1859. I don't know from when to when he lived. He published a book Green George Clark 1886: Collections and Recollections of Natural History and Sports in the life of the country Vica. London 1886.

Could some-one help me,

Cheers,

Justin Jansen

Hi Justin,

He was apparently born in 1830 in Eton, Buckinghamshire.

Would you like census details for him?

Not sure what kind of information you are interested in. I see George Rowney Green (14 Mar 1794, Bexley Kent - 19 April 1860) was indeed an alumni of King's College Eton. Father's name William. He also had a clerical career (among which Vicar of Modbury)

George Clark Green was also at Eton.

Hi Justin,

I was just hoping you might have a bit of information on George Clark Green as he was my great great grandfather,  and I am trying to look into my family history.  My great grandfather was Arthur E C Green who in the 1891 census it says he was medical student.

If you have any information I would really love it.

Hope to hear from you soon
