there were 5 John Ramsey's in Clackmannan,

not sure if you know ages to narrow it down further but this is one with a couple and family...

John Ramsey aged 30 Toll Gatherer Y ( ie yes born in County)

Jane Ramsey aged 25 Y

Sarah Ramsey aged 8 Y

James Ramsey aged 6 Y

Rachel Ramsey aged 4 Y

John Ramsey aged 1 Y

if you do know any other details then will happily have another look.

Hi thank you cant place John Ramsay James Ramsay would have been about 38yrs his wife Janet about the same they would have had about 5 children by then i think the children may have been born in Dollar Alloa & Clackmannan Harriet Roll Eyes

James Ramsey aged 30 Carter  Y ( remember they did some very funny things with ages in the 1841)

Janet Ramsey aged 29 Y

Robert Ramsey aged 14 Y

Edward Ramsey aged 11 Y

Mary Ramsey aged 9 Y

Margaret Ramsey aged 7

Henry Ramsey aged 3

David Ramsey aged 3 Months

Hi  that is great i am sure it is them their children were Robert 1826 Edward 1828 Mary 1830 Margaret 1834 James Rodger Ramsay 1838   David Tod Ramsay 1841 it is interesting to have a henry there i hadnt known about him and if you have info on the next census it would be great Thanks again Harriet Grin
