Great ggrandfather William Hart Mann was said to be a tailor on his sons birth cert  in 1844 at Stafford Row Pimlico. I note there were several tailors in that area then.By the 1851 census his wife Mary Ann is widowed .At the moment  have been unable to find his deathand wonder if he may have succombed to the cholera in the late 40s.But thats beside the point. In 1868 his son William marries and on his marriage cert father is deceased but gis job is down as "foreman of a cloth wharehouse"Does anyone know of any such wharehouses in the Westminster area--perhaps his sight was poor and no longer being able to tailor he took this job.
