Reg,
Thanks for the reply, Like I said in previous posts, this William Harker was on the periphery of my family up until the early 60s when he died, he was actually buried from 373 Cannon St. M'Bro, My mother always said he was a cousin, although I have tried to confirm that I have been unable to, either from a maternal or paternal side.
The only reference I had was the photo I posted to Julie and the fact that he was in the British army in India, NW Frontier in 1927 and was taken prisoner at Dunkirk in 1940 and was held as a POW,  working in mines in Upper Silesia until his release, So he appears to have been a career soldier. I am not aware if he was married before the war though he certainly wasn't married to my knowledge of knowing him from 1945 to 1960.
I have looked at a number of avenues to try to find the link to my family, even from an illegitamacy/adoption  viewpoint without success.
If you could have the pic scanned and sent via a PM maybe I would be able to see any resemblance.

The photo I referred to earlier was in the possession of my maternal aunt who wasn't born when the pic was taken so she must have got it from her mother's (my grandmother) possessions, so Billiy must have posted it from India to her in 1927.

Thanks again
James
