Trims of West Stower

I'm trying to trace the marriage of James Trim b. 1801 in West Stower to Elizabeth who I believe was born in Wincanton in 1806. I would also like to find his parents if possible.  Many thanks in advance. Smiley Tongue

Could this be who you are looking for.

James trim married Elizabeth Jessop 17 December 1820  Evershot Dorset.

James Trim christened 11 August 1799 Stinsford, Dorset  (Stinsford being just east of Dorchester)
Parents John Trim and Catherine (Nee Newman) who were married 11 August 1793, St Peter, Dorchester.

Thanks for your reply, but I believe my "Trims" came from the West Stower or Stour area. I'm even having doubts now that James Trim wasn't even one of the parents of the Arthur Trim b. 1829 at West Stower.  All the census returns fail to place him with his family, so I'll have to get his marriage certificate and check the father.  Still, many thanks for your interest.

siblings include-
henry bapt 24th nov 1816
james bapt 30th may 1818
james bapt 25th april 1819
ann bapt 11th feb 1821

william bapt 3rd dec 1831

james trim bapt 13th sept 1801 at west stower.parents john trim and dorothy.

This certainly sounds like mine. According to my research Arthur married Elizabeth Young b.1834 at Silton. They supposedly married at Shaftsbury in 1855. I've just sent for a copy of the marriage certificate, as I needed to be sure of the fathers names.  I had a copy of the 1881 census when Arthur lived in Gillingham, I believe that it was before this that I tied him in with James Trim as a father. So many thanks it willhelp no end.

I had actally seen this but couln't fit it together with the information I had. Obviouslly Ann Taylor was his sister but the earlier census returns were needed to make sense of it.  Thanks again.
