All census information (1841 to 1901) is available online on the (pay per view) site ScotlandsPeople at:
http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/

Charges are reasonable - 6 pounds for 30 credits valid for a week.  Searches are free but each page (contains 25 names) costs 1 credit to view or download; to view or download an image then costs 5 credits.
