cregg/craig HELP
« on: Friday 05 May 06 10:22 UTC (UK) »

i am having great problems trying to trace my family tree, i am looking for a DARBY CRAIG who came i believe from the roscommon area. so far i have found out that he fathered 3 children, although i believe there shoudl be another child but i cant find it anywhere.
i think he married a MARGARET OWENS on 9 feb 1864 at 173 frenchpark, roscommon.
having looked on lds site i have found the following which has completely thrown me now.
i have a
DERMOD CREGG married a MARGARET OWENS on same day.
have 3 children as follows:
JANE CREGG born 5 mar 1869 to DARBY CREGG & MARGARET OWENS
JACOBUS CREGG born 30 sep 1867 at breedogue and b allinameen.roscommon to DERMITII CREGG and MARGARITAE OWENS
MARIA CREGG born 24 apr 1871 at breedogue and ballinameen, roscommon to DERMITII CREGG and MARGARETTAE OWENS
i also have the fathers of
DERMOD CREGG as JAMES CREGG
MARGARET OWENS as JOHN OWENS
as you can probably tell i am now totally confused, is there anyone out there could help me i cannot understand why the names have changed so much and am i on the right track.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
sharon
