Can you identify this house please?
« on: Friday 05 May 06 14:44 BST (UK) »

Hi,

I've been requested to help a researcher locate the house of his great
grandmother. The house may have been anywhere, although Cheshire or Shropshire have been suggested.

The substantial black & white timber framed building was featured in a
painting by H.A. Whittle dated 1856.

Please look at the house and information found so far, on this web page;

I've contacted Bonham's, the art dealers, who have sold paintings by the same artist. Hopefully they may provide some clue.

Many thanks for looking.

Gwynne Chadwick.
