CUNNINGHAM Washington + Margaret in Ballyculter 1860s-1870s

Hi, am a newcomer to this site but would be really grateful for any leads concerning my gt gt grandfather Washington Cunningham who was known to be living in Ballyculter in 1871. 

Info so far:

He was born around 1835, son of George Cunningham who was a ship's carpenter.

He married Margaret CREEN in Liverpool in 1856.

2 daughters were born in Liverpool - Mary Melissa 1857 + Sarah Jane 1860.

3rd daughter, Catherine Rebecca, (my gt grandmother) was born in Ireland between 1865-68.

Washington + Margaret had a son, born in Ballyculter in 1871 (re Ros Davies website).

On Catherine's marriage certificate (Liverpool 1896) Washington Cunningham was recorded as  'Master Mariner - deceased'.

Any help welcome!

All I can find at emerald ancestors is:

Civil Birth
Date of Birth 31 Mar 1871
Gender M
Fathers Name Washington CUNNINGHAM
Mothers Forenames Margaret
Mothers Maiden Name CREEN
Civil District  Downpatrick
Sub District Strangford
County Down

At www.familysearch.org I found a Female birth on 13th DEC 1864, at  Strangford, Down, Ireland.

My goodness that was quick - Thank you so much!  Maybe the 1864 female birth is Catherine, my gt grandmother.  Her birth year seems to vary on everything we find!

Welcome to Rootschat.
Ros Davies' Co. Down website lists a son born 31 Mar.1871 Ballyculter (Strandford registration district) to Washington Cunningham & Margaret Creen.

Interestingly enough there's a Will Extract for a Rebecca Cunninghma of Church Hill Co. Down who died 1846 and executor is from Ballyculter (perhaps some connection since Catherine's middle name was Rebecca?)

Thank you for this additional info.  I am so impressed to have had such speedy reponses.

Interesting about the Rebecca Cunningham will.

Re IGI - am not familiar with this, can anyone use it? Was the Margaret Cunningham b. 1862 in England listed as daughter of Washington + Margaret Cunningham?

IGI= International Genealogical Index, part of LDS site (www.familysearch.org) which is free and open to all. The Margaret I mentioned is listed as a daughter of Washington and Margaret Cunningham (birthdate and christening details give, see IGI).
