Well apparently the Robinson family had some history and of course there was the Ramsey family that the street was named after!!

On a serious note, this week I gained my first gentleman yeoman, not an Ag Lab but a GENTLEMAN YEOMAN.

On a lighter note a 19th century ancestor of mine worked at Harrods.   Smiley   That's about as close as I get.

I think working at Harrods back then was so genteel that it ranks easily with a Gentleman Yeoman. But congratulations to you both - it places you both far above Baldrick Robinson.
I had lunch once at Harrods.  Cool

My daughter gave me a Harrod's bag once  Smiley

I also had an ancestor who was a florist in Windsor, but I must stop this namedropping.

When I was a kid in the 1950's I was led to believe that 'Machine Gun' Jack McGurn (one of Al Capone's henchmen) was related. Then I found out he was a Sicilian who took the name out of a Chicago telephone directory.

Another myth has just been exploded. My family used to say that the late Mr Justice Stable,  who was known as the kindly judge, was related to grandmothers side of the family. Have just confirmed all of mother ancestors were in fact STABLES and the judge's family name was STABLE who came from Wanstead in Essex.

Oh  and talking about Harrods, one of my sisters who had been shopping there left by a different door to the one she had entered and missed being injured (or even killed) by the Harrods bomb that went off just as she was leaving.
