James Lively, born Stranraer around 1851 to Bernard Lively and Catherine Gallagher. Sister Jane ( Catherine ) born 14 January 1860 at Whitecrook, Old Luce Wigtown.
Have been unable to find on IGI. Are there OPRs available for any other churches in that area??
Grateful for any help

It looks like James's parents only married in 1853. On IGI, actual extract from OPRs:
BARNARD LIVELY Marriages: Spouse: CATHARINE GALLAGHER Marriage: 17 OCT 1853 Leswalt, Wigtown, Scotland
Also on IGI, two children showing for this couple, including the Catherine you already have:
1. MARGARET LIVELY Birth: 16 FEB 1857 Auchinleck, Ayr, Scotland 2. CATHRINE LIVELY Birth: 14 JAN 1860 Old Luce, Wigtown, Scotland
On the 1851 Census at http://www.dumgal.gov.uk/historicalindexes/census.aspx there are only two Lively entries which I think might be duplicates. This looks like it might be Barnard age 23 (on Scotlands People, these entries are both down as Barny). These entries seem to be duplicated, although the addresses are slightly different, which is why they are showing as separate entries although the household members are the same.
LIVELY Danny, age 85, Labourer farm, b. Ireland, household of Robert Campbell (on SP his age is down as 23) Address: Creachmore(887) Kirkcolm
LIVELY Danny, age 23, Labourer farm, b. Ireland, household of Robert Campbell Address: Craichmore(891) Leswalt
From the 1851 Census, there is only one Catherine Gall* that would fit in age to Barnard:
GALLACHER Catherine, age 28, Servant, unmarried, daughter of Hannah, b. Ireland Address: Cot House (900), Whithorn
Regards.

Thank you Monica
I will follow up the 1851 Census information, I have never found Catherine Gallagher on it, but I had to look on films and it was hard to know where to look.
It seems that either James was born before the marriage or his date of birth is wrong. Will keep looking

Hi Margit
The full household entry for the Catherine Gallacher I found on the 1851 Census is as follows:
BELL Mary, age 10, grand-daughter of Hannah Gallacher, born Ireland GALLACHER Catherine, unmarried, daughter of Hannah, Servant, age 28, born Ireland GALLACHER Hannah, age 56, widow, head, born Ireland GALLACHER James, age 23, son, umarried, Labourer Agri., born Ireland GALLACHER John, age 25, son, umarried, Labourer Agri., born Ireland GALLACHER William, age 9, grandson, born Ireland Address: Cot House (900) Parish: Whithorn Household No: 7/3A
There were only 3 Cath* Gall* in the 1851 Census at the Dumgall site. One was aged 49 and the other age 25 and married to Francis G and with children.
Regards.

Thanks Once again Monica
I've been away, which is why it took so long to reply.
I'll follow up both Bernard and Catherine on the 1851 census, then I might try IGI for Catherine's family.
Irish records are a bit difficult, but oone can but hope
Margaret
