If anyone has any connections with any Pittman's or Pitman's of Hindon I would be very interested to hear from you.

I have been searching my Pitman line who were from Horsington Somerset but I have now found that there is probably a link between the family in Horsington and Hindon.  I have found in the 1901 census that Alice Pitman born 1894 in Hindon was a visitor at the house of Lucy and Alfred Penny - Lucy being descended from Lucy Pitman of Horsington.

Any help with this connection would be much appreciated.

Hi Jane,
My 2nd g.grandmother was Ann Maria Pittman born 1819 at Hindon she married Edward Taylor in 1835 at East Knoyle.
Anna Maria was the daughter of James Pittman and Ann Maria Powell and Edward was the son of Robert Taylor and Ann Penny.
I ahve the parish records for Hindon and both of the Knoyles, if I can help please get back to me.
