I am looking for Sarah NEALE b 1830 in Tadmarton Oxf.
On the 1841 census there is a Sarah NEWBELL 1829 H0107/875/18 fo9 p11 when I look at the image I think it reads as Sarah Needell now bearing in mind the mother was Irish is it possible that this was Sarh NEALE? I would be most grateful if any one look up records for a birth 1828-1831 in Tadmarton either CofE or RC?

Hello Trees -

The Oxfordshire FHS has transcribed the Tadmarton records - see the parish map at http://searches.oxfordshirefhs.org.uk/pardata.html

There's a baptism:
1829   NEEDLES   Sarah   d John & Elizabeth

which ties in with the census record you found.  There are no NEALE baptisms.

It might be worth having a search done of the baptism index for Oxfordshire - it's detailed in the Search Services section of the Oxfordshire FHS site at www.ofhs.org.uk .

Best wishes

Wendy ,
Thank you so much I've been looking carefully at the data I have. The only place I have her as Sarah NEALE is on her son's birth certificate, Looking for a suitable marriage- she married William HALL and they had their first ch 1850 Birmingham. We found in Free BMD a marriage Dec 1849 King's Norton 18 549 there are 8 names on the page among which are William HALL and Sarah Needle!! Looking at the image I think it could be interpreted as NEALE could you take a look and see what you think please We will order the Marriage certificate in case. Thank you also for the advise re Oxford FHS
