Would anybody have the Dightons/Deighton family in their tree living/ born Plumstead/ Belvedere area they are/were gypsies living in caravans gypsy tents and in the open air on the common Tinkers/Fortune Teller/ Hawkers any help would be greatly appreciated!

Whilst looking for something else, I found this 1903 baptism (Samson son of Andrew & Caroline) in the parish registers of Holy Trinity, Milton, Gravesend, Kent ................... just in case you don't have it

Just searched 1906-1908 Holy Trinity Milton for Levi Dightons birth / no joy but quite pleased with myself. All down to you.

There are some Deightons listed on the 1901 census for Surrey, page 86, 493
Walter Deighton 36, born Streatham
Solomon Deighton 12, born Tunbridge, Surrey
Noah Deighton 9, born Croydon, Surrey
All listed as Gypsies at Bottom Barn, Court Farm, Rural District of Godstone, Surrey.
Not born in Plumstead but not a million miles away so may be related.

Hi have been concentrating on my fathers side of the family for the last 6 months or so but am just starting an my mothers.
My nans maiden name was Dighton and her father was Lawrence Dighton. Born 1876. He married Kate Carey and the Careys and Lawrence Dighton are on the same census 1901 and they appear to have Plumstead as the place of birth.
Not sure if they are connected but please let me know if you think they may be and i will le you know what i have to date( which isnt much so far)

Some of the Deightons married the daughters of Cornelius "Nelus" Smith and Clara (nee Heron, the sister of Riley Boss).
Nathan Deighton married Reni Smith
Noah married Lidi Smith -she was bapt 7.12.1851 Gosbeck, Sfk.
and Solomon married Patience Smith
Solomon and Patience were reputed to have had the following children:
Celia, Genti, Henry, Nathan and Dorenia.
