PALMER, Samuel (Farmer ??) St Lawrence area
« on: Sunday 14 May 06 02:03 UTC (UK) »

Does the name, Samuel PALMER ring a bell with anyone???

He apparently owned a Gelding that my 3xg-grandfather, John GREEN stole back in 1828.
The theft took place in the St Lawrence area of Reading so I assume that PALMER may have had a farm there that my g-grandfather was either working on or nearby.

A few other names that might ring the bell were those of the Jurors who presided over the subsequent trial of John GREEN.

The names of the Jurors Sworn were John Belcher - Johnathon Butteridge - Benjamin Blackman - Francis Clarke - Joseph Corderoy - John Faulkner - Benjamin Finch - Joseph Fruin - Richard Higgs - William Higgs - John Hissey - Edward Howse.

I would certainly appreciate any info on any of the above names.
It could give me more of an idea as to exactly where John GREEN came from.

Cheers
