M.I. Lookup, Margaret Pollock, Bonhill
« on: Sunday 14 May 06 06:03 BST (UK) »

Please could someone do a lookup on M.I.'s for

Margaret Pollock (married to Thomas Meikle) who died between 1841 and 1851 possibly at Balagan, Bonhill, Dunbartonshire.

Margaret would have been aged about 40-45 when she died.

Many thanks,

Lindsay

Hi Lindsay

checked on the scotlandspeople site for marriage record unfortunatley itsdoes not start until 1855 so no luck there. checked the 1841 census and found the meikle's living at Ballagan. Do you already have this if not e-mail me back and I will pass it on its rather a coinsidence your family came from that area as where I work our old garage was there.

Hello Winniep, are you feeling better?

They married 20 Aug 1824 in Kimarnock, Ayrshire.  Yes, I do have the 1841 but thanks for the thought and for looking it up.

Margaret Pollock is one of my brickwalls, I know she died after the 1841, I am convinced that she was the daughter of Robert Pollock and Agnes Smith (but can't prove it  Sad) and was hoping that there might be a M.I. in the Dunbartonshire book for her ...

How are you getting on with your Morrisons? Did you ever come across anything more on my John Morrison, Butcher in Duntocher by any chance??

regards,

Lindsay
