William WORLEY in Beaconsfield late 1700s
« on: Monday 15 May 06 23:13 BST (UK) »

Hi,

My 4x Great Grandfather was William WORLEY born in Beaconsfield Bucks around 1797. He was married to Lucy (who was born around 1793 in Beaconsfield) & in 1818 they had John Caleb WORLEY in Hillingdon, Middlesex.

I don't know when William was born (I've guessed 1797 from the censuses) and I don't know when or where he married Lucy, or what Lucy's maiden name was.

It could be that he married in Hillingdon, but both him & Lucy were born in Beaconsfield, so I'm assuming that they married before moving away.

Could SKS look up William's birth, his marriage & if that gives a maiden name for Lucy, her birth as well?

I'd really appreciate any nuggets that anyone can find.

Thank you Smiley

Yes Sue, I had that, but thank you anyway.

It's the only census which says William & Lucy were born in Middlesex, so I'm assuming that it was just a lazy enumerator ticking the wrong column.

Thanks for the reply, people are *so* helpful here Smiley
