I think we have a problem...not just me  but I am not receiving your notices on my email re thread...I am getting other threads sent to me..the only way I know you have a message is if I get onto the thread itself, and look..I have reported this, and there is someone looking into it...is this happening to others as well as me.. I know I'm new at all this, but I dont think the problem is at this end... re technical..that is
Do you think changing the thread to another "channel" whatever you do may solve this problem..only a suggestion...
Re Mary Nelson....all I have is that she was born in 1845 England..but that may be wrong as far as place goes.... I will do what I can this end...re family of Flora...but, I have lost touch with their families, other than one, and she is 90 and not too good at the moment...
I will have to "digest" what you have written, and get back to you on Monday...

I have notifications turned off as I prefer to check myself. I receive too many emails as it is 
No channels on rootschat, just boards...and this request should probably be moved to the Australian board. You can request a moderator to do this if you wish.
Unfortunately when we take information from death certificates, it can be incorrect. When I research I like to have at least three sources for my information if I can't see the primary source.
I only mentioned Flora's siblings to assist you with researching the family. James and Mary may have lived near one of their other daughters and died in the same area.

Cando...I am having rather a bit of trouble..with incoming Rootschat notifications that are not mine, in other words other peoples threads... I have notified this problem to the moderators, and people connected, and have been advised to re-send them back, as some are not getting their answers... I have done all this, and am still getting lots of incoming posts..
I was asked by someone if they were PM's or threads..they were threads... I was worried it may have been me, as I'm not experienced on the computer, but, it seems to be a problem with the system in Rootschat...so, I am just letting you know what the "go" is...
It seems to have happened since I opened the Nelson thread..never happened to me on the Hankins thread, which I still have going....was wondering if we should put this onto another link (THE Nelson) as there may be a problem on the one its on..I am not a technician, so I really dont know what to do..

Cando...I have just seen my reply to you and I seem to have said all this before...I am very sorry, I'm not having a good day...as we do sometimes, and I apologise for any inconvenience and confusion..
I do see the notices on my computer, and I open them...but, as I said.. the ones that are coming in on my inbox are for others..not me... Think I'll take a rest, refresh, and resume on Monday, unless I get Monday-itis and I dont want that...and, thank you for your patience

I am clicking on the top one...Welcome back Dalek, you have X messages... Is that the one I'm supposed to click onto...I did that on the Hankins thread and didn't have any problems there...
