South Shields - Any census or index

Looking for Thomas Pattison (sometimes spelt Patterson), born 1827 South Shields, Shipwright.
Married to Mary, b. 1831 Walker, Northumberland.
Daughter, Mary born 1857 South Shields.

Any help would be really appreciated.

I can't find a Thomas and Mary of the right age in the 1851 census under either spelling. However in 1891:
Piece 4154  folio 109 page 20

Thomas PATTISON So S 32 Seaman DUR South Shields

Thanks for that.  I think you are correct.  That 14 year old Thomas fits rather nicely to be the Thomas I am looking for.  Seems two Pattison families lived at Albion.  Wouldn't it be nice to know who belonged to who!


Many thanks for your help.  At least I am one step further backwards. First sign of Thomas' parents I've had.
