Can anyone please help in my search for my ancestors?

I've gone back as far as Hugh Southwood (c1771) who married a Mary Redd (c1775) . They were living somewhere in the Bratton Fleming area.

I can see from familysearch there are earlier Southwoods in roughly that area but i cant seem to find a link (if one exists) between my relatives and the earlier people.

Its unlikely I'm going to be able to travel to the area to search parish records so wondered if anyone could possibly be of any assistance.

Hoping someone can come to my aid!!
