This list of people is constructed from a bibliography of selected documented sources from which the names and events of people residing in Stepney (and environs) has been extracted and compiled in alphabetical order.

It covers a broad period and included are things such as burials, marriages, wills, deaths, criminal convictions, union memberships as well as things one would expect to find in a commercial directory.
