Offer to photograph graves Netherlands
« on: Monday 22 May 06 20:08 UTC (UK) »

Hi.

As I have received loads of help throughout the past few years, I would like to reciprocate the gesture.

If anybody has family members who died in action during WW-II and are burried in The Netherlands, I can try and make a picture of the grave. I can then send it (digitally) through the net.

Preferrably the north and west part of the country, but I'm sure I can work something out for other parts as well. My family is like a virus and they're spread out all over the place, so it shouldn't be a problem.  Grin

Just let me know if I can be of help.

Regards,

Kya Milo

I guess the genealogical community is a prime example of how people should deal with eachother Wink  Without the help from people here I could have never found out as much about my British heritage as I have.

"What goes around, comes around" can be actually pretty positive.

Glad te be able of help.

I am in the East of the Netherlands and would also love to help in any way.  I haven't been around here long but so far everyone has been so kind and helpful, I just want to give back!

Hi Suee

I'm glad to help.  Not sure exactly WHEN I can go, but we are free in the weekend so I'll make a go of it on Sunday if you can wait that long?

Since no one has been there from your family do you want me to leave anything special there for you?

Hi Renee
Cant tell you how greatfull i am, William was a relative of my husbands family, we are going up to York in 2 weeks to see where he flew from but did not return.
One day he hopes to go over and see his grave, but until then this is the only thing he can do.
He is really touched that you say you can take a photo for him many thanks.
As for taking something that is really kind i cant expect you to do that just someone being there for our family is enough.
If ever there is anything i can do for you please ask, i will send you my email many many thanks. Cry

Suee ~

Really, I am glad to help.  It hasn't taken me very long to understand how important this can be for someone!

I don't know where you are or how difficult it would be to come over this way, but if you do get the chance I would love to help both of you find your way around here AND the cemetery!!

Look forward to your message and I'll keep you posted!
