Beasley family in East London

I am currently studying my family line in the east end of London and have managed to trace back to my G.G. Gf Elijah Beasley b. 1800. married Mary Ann Clancy 1844.
They had 2 sons as far as I can tell Elijah Henry b. 1848 and Charles William (my G.Gf) b. 5 July 1852 at 12 Princes St. Bethnal Green.
The next fix I have on them is the 1871 census at 71 Charlotte Street, Shoreditch and I was hopeful that some body might be able to find them in any earlier census?

Also Charles married Havering Sophia Smith 14 Sept 1885 and her father was Christman Smith b. 24.8.1817 Bethnal Green. His occupation was given as Capt. P&O Coy. on their marriage cert. (although both fathers were deceased at that time) and I was also wondering if any body knows of where I might find details of the P & O coy (presumably Peninsular and Orient) and their employees at that time.

I found this family in the 1851 census for Bethnal Green
HO 107/1542 folio 634

Elija Henry age 3
Emily age 1
Martha S age 6
all born Bethnal green
Mary A age 37 born Spitalfields
Unfortunately the father Elija does not seem to be at home.

I hope someone will look up this reference for you
