Hi
Could anybody tell me if there was a place called Kinson in Herefordshire.
My gt grandmother has it down as her birth place on 1871,1881,1891,1901
Census.
I've Googled but can only find it in Dorset.

Thanks for the reply, I wondered if it might be Kington - its with it appearing the same on all the census that confused the issue.

I like the thought of Kinsham, Kinson is a bit how it is said on the Welsh Border.

Her maiden name was Pugh - her full name was Charlotte Pugh b 1836 (+or-1 year). Married to Joseph Roberts (Hereford 1863).

Having suggested Kinsham - can I retract that in favour of Kington
IGI - Charlotte Pugh bapt 30/6/1837 Kington dau of Philip Pugh and MArgaret.
But there is also a Charlotte Pugh born 1832 in Kingstone ......

Thanks for the latest details. I tend to think your thoughts on Kington are right.
The Charlotte Pugh born 1832 in Kingstone seem a bit to early if her age on the various census are anything to go by.
