Marriage in Coldstream
« on: Sunday 28 May 06 13:44 BST (UK) »

I am looking for a marriage in 1755.  The bride was Agnes Middlemiss(or Middlemist).  The groom was GEorge Claise.  This "Claise" is problematic...it was also spelled Clezy, Clezie, Clazy.

I have ordered the parish record for William Clazy and Katherine or Kathrine Liongat, Ladykirk, 1745 marriage.

I cannot seem to get past these two with any consistency and suspect these are related based on the naming pattern of their sons.

One day, I would like to pinpoint where this family came from originally.

Thank you for any suggestions or ideas.
