Looking for people interested in the Stanley family in Tenterden Kent.  Robart Stanley was a yeoman farmer born in 1572 in Tenterden, married a woman named Ruthe about 1590.  They had a son John Stanley born on Oct. 8, 1599 who married Elizabeth Urridge (many spellings of he name) in 1623 in Benenden, kent.  He left with his 2 brothers and 3 children for the american colonies in 1633/34 and died at sea.  His son Capt. John Stanley was adopted by his brother Thomas and became on of the founders of Farmington, Hartford, CT and a military hero fighting the Indians.
