Only a possible but fits with marriage date of 6 Dec 1761.
James Hay baptised 5 Sept 1736 Kirkmichael parents Lewis Hay and Margaret Watson.
Baptisms for children of James Hay and Ann Riach all in Kirkmichael.
17 Oct 1762 daughter
31 May 1764 Isobel
3 Aug 1766 John
14 Jan 1769 Nathaniel
31 Mar 1774 Robert
5 Feb 1780 James
I am assuming I have missed a few as there are huge gaps between children.

Hello larkspur/smwilson

Also  born to the couple - Barbara Hay ch.  15 Feb 1785.

Also if you click on the batch no. and enter James Hay in the fathers section - no mothers name - you come up with a William Hay ch. 12 Apr 1771 in Kirkmichael - no mothers name given.

smwilson - I take it you're aware of the free govt Libindex website at  http://www.moray.gov.uk/moray_standard/page_39787.html#Tracing_Your_Roots_In_Moray       - for all things Morayshire.
