Getting back to Benjamin William Aplin his parents were John and Elizabeth Aplin and he was christened on 23 th June 1809. This is an extracted record on Family Search so should be accurate

Just in case you like going even further back John Aplin was christened 30 DEC 1777 Banbury, Oxford, England and his parents were Oliver and Mary Aplin.
So your Oliver was presumably named after his Great Grandfather.

Wow that is an huge ammount on data!
Still remains on what date has his wife Mary Davis Hyde (1867 Bloxham, Oxfordshire - 1939) be born and died, and did they only get two childern?
And on what date dit Benjamin William Aplin (23 th June 1809 Banbury, Oxfordshire - ) die same as for Barbara Playsted Jeston (1829 Brandsby, Yorkshire -)
I'm working on a book and Olivier Vernon Aplin (*1858 Boddicott, Banbury, Oxon november 1940) collected many birds in both the Uk as in The Netherlands. And I always try to included a part of their personal life, that why I ask such a difficult questions once in a while.

The 1861 census shows that Benjamin and Barbara had 3 children - Frederick, Benjamin and Oliver. The 1871 census shows they had a daughter in 1865

As there is no public access to any census after 1901 I cannot say if Oliver and Mary had other children. You would have to look through the Civil Registration List for possible births and then send for the certificate to see if Oliver and Mary were the named parents. Bit labourious
