What I can gather on my gg grandfather Henry NEALE is that he was born about 1822 in Shoreditch. This information is based on finding him on various censuses ('71; '81 & '91).
It would be helpful to find him in the '41 '51 &'61 censuses (he would have been about 19; 29 & 39 yrs old, respectively) to get a better sense of his origins.
From at least 1871 on, he seemed to have lived in Bethnal Green, and worked as a shoe maker, a boot mender and a saddler, according to different censuses.
In his 40s he fathered a son, George NEALE, born Dec 10, 1871.... although he may or may not have been married to the mother, Elizabeth RICKETTS.
I found on the LDS site a possible Henry NEALE born in Shoreditch that could fit but am looking for more clues.
Any help appreciated!

I found Henry Neale age 31 in Whitechapel in 1851 census index
ref HO 107/1546 folio 62
At the same address was Naomi aged 26
Hopefully someone will look up the reference for you.
