1881 - 1901 census lenzie
« on: Monday 05 June 06 12:38 BST (UK) »

I'm trying  to find out who has lived in my house since it was built in 1870's.  If anyone has access to relevant censuses, who lived in Sherbrooke in Victoria road, Lenzie (tho' I believe it may have been called something different then)?
Thanks Kathryn

Hi Kathryn

There are 7 Entries on the 1881 Cencus for Victoria Road. They are:

1 Victoria Road

Jessieville, Victoria Road

Jessieville, Victoria Road

Milverton Victoria Road

Marnock House Victoria Road

Mar Villa Victoria Road

Airedale Villa Victoria Road

I presume the two 'Jessievilles' are maybe the two halves of a semi detached? They are all listed under Cadder, Enumeration District  5,  Pages 16, 17, 19, 20 & 21
