Please could somebody tell me why I keep losing the Back, Forward and Refresh buttons off my toolbar (top left of monitor).  Never had this before and it is very inconvenient.
How do I get them back?

Right click near where it should be and you will get a list of toolbars available, probably your Address Bar is unchecked, just check it and hopefully that should put it back.

If it is checked then you may have accidentally picked it up and it's attached itself to the end of another one.  If you can see it just pick it up with your mouse and replace it towards the left edge of your screen where it should be.

Thanks Mary, but I'm right-clicking and nothings happening. I've discovered they come back when I go on Internet Explorer, but can't get them on my homepage - BT Yahoo.  Very odd !!

When on that page try pressing F11 .... it may work as sometimes these pages are set to full screen without the toolbars being shown

Yipee Falkyrn !!  I pressed F11 and it's worked, but how strange.  Can you explain to a complete dummy what happened in case it happens again please.  Thank you.

All browsers have a full screen mode ..... a hangover from the days of smaller monitors ..... this mode does away with the toolbars to maximise the use of the screen for the data being presented.
F11 is the switch from full screen mode to "normal" mode and can be used at any time to switch back and forth.

Thanks Falkryn - another learning curve for me - haven't been at this lark very long, so still learning.
