You don't by any chance have a Charles Edward James Flint in your book - I know he worked for the gas company in Enfield - apparently he used to go round lighting the gas lamps and I know he also served in the armed forces.
Any information would be much appreciated.

Hello - is there a Peter Carney listed. He was my grandfather and died in 1942 of TB. He was an employee and I know he served at Ypres. Abigail

Hi there! Is there a Robert George Collins listed in your book at all? He went to France in Sept 1915, he was a driver and his number was 60087, in the R.F.A. When he enlisted in 1909 in the 12th Battalion "The Rangers" he worked at the Gas Light & Coke Co and lived in Limehouse, Stepney. I don't know if any of that will be any use, but I've never even seen a picture of him before and he is my GGGrandfather. Thanks in advance

Hello
Sorry I missed your post and reply is late but no Collins is not mentioned. There is only a Pte E Collins of the 1/4 Essex Regiment, Stoker at the Beckton works. Was wounded at the Dardanelles on August 4th.
p.s. I now have an index of surnames so it is easier to look up now.

Hello
There is a Lnce-Corpl Marchant mentioned - there is no initial or first name noted. He was with the York and Lancaster Regt, there is also a photo of him in uniform.
I wonder if this is the man you are looking for?
